Something big is bubbling under…more news soon

GFX FOR OTHER GAMES

There’s a lot of gfx work going on at the moment for different remakes…one of which is Normo’s remake of the very first Dizzy game ( sorry people, no Dildo’s in this one ), nothing to see as yet, but hopefully this will turn out to be a great game. We’re also providing the gfx for a few others, but they’re still under wraps at the moment – so you can’t see anything from them either! But as soon as there’s anything to see we can promise you some lovely screenshots. ( Honest, guv.

KOKOTONI WILF WINS BEST GRAPHICS PRIZE

Well, Rub me up sideways with a slippery stick – the results are finally in from the 2003 Retro Remakes Competition and what a joy to behold they are. Sadly, Kokotoni Wilf failed to break the top 20 ( Which is no surprise considering the lack of in game music! ) but it did manage to come away with the Best Graphics Prize… which just goes to show that all the sweat, blood and tears weren’t in vain! You’ll be glad to know its still available for you to download if you’ve yet to try it. The competition showcased a lot of wonderful games from a variety of different coding platforms, with GameMaker also making a show for the Most Faithful Remake award with Jas Interactive’s Joust 3. The winning top 3 were all well deserved wins for the retrospective authors and I highly recommend that you nip along to www.remakes.org and check them out – I can promise you, you won’t be disappointed.

NEW SITE DESIGN

As you can see the Mersey Remakes site has had a bit of a facelift – nothing too drastic, but it looks like this one is here to stay. No major changes really aside from a new logo, some new headers and a bit of streamlining to make way for a bigger news section ( don’t you just love it? ). Thanks go out to STompy for the piccy of yours truly that now graces the page.
